Legal Pathways to Deep Decarbonization in the United States: Summary and Key Recommendations

Legal Pathways to Deep Decarbonization in the United States: Summary and Key Recommendations

This book is a shorter version of a much longer book, Legal Pathways to Deep Decarbonization in the United States (Michael B. Gerrard & John C. Dernbach eds. 2019), which has 1,500 recommendations for the federal government, state and local governments, and the private sector to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80% by 2050.  The Summary and Key Recommendations includes a thumbnail summary of each chapter, key recommendations by chapter, and a separate listing of recommendations organized by actor.  This listing enables readers to find all of the recommendations relevant to, say, state legislatures, regardless of the chapter in which they originated.  There are more than 500 key recommendations in this version of the book.

The Summary and Key Recommendations is available without charge here.
